“At Omega Plastics, I work as Senior Program Estimating Manager in our Group Sales, Marketing and Commercial team. When I first joined Omega Plastics, I started as Cost Estimator before moving into the Projects and Tooling team as Senior Program Manager. I work across numerous teams but mainly the Projects and Tooling team and the Sales, Marketing and Commercial team. In my current role, I conduct cost estimating exercises for our customers, produce project timing plans and I am involved in engineer to engineer design reviews. At Omega Plastics, I enjoy working with such a close knit team who all work toward the same goal and have the same positive outlook.”
Meet Luke
“I first started at Omega Plastics as an Apprentice Tooling Engineer whilst completing my Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Course at Hartlepool College. During my Tooling Engineer Apprenticeship, I was trained in setting up machines in our toolroom, stripping tools, learning what’s what and all about plates and components. Mark Brown, now Head of UK Tooling, took me under his wing and really showed me the ways which I am very appreciative of. I can’t imagine working anywhere else now, it’s so rewarding working for a company and with a group of people who all share the same goal of bettering ourselves, our practices and maintaining the success of Omega Plastics Group.”
Meet Tony
“I work as a Production Operative at Omega Plastics and in my role, I follow standard operations to ensure the products we make are manufactured within the allotted cycle time. We have to conform to customer specific requirements when moulding components which can sometimes be extremely detailed, for example stringent packaging requirements. No two days are the same at Omega Plastics and it is a well established organisation to work for which is extremely important nowadays.”
Meet Wendy
“At Omega Plastics, I am part of the Quality Team where I work as a Quality Technician and conduct regular quality checks on our components. Quality is a huge part of what we pride ourselves on at Omega Plastics so our team is a vital part of the overall customer experience. When I first started at Omega Plastics, I was an Production Operative and then become a Quality Technician 3 years ago. The people at Omega Plastics are second to none – they truly make coming to work everyday a pleasure.”
