Meet Our New Team Members

We are pleased to welcome three new starters to the Omega Plastics Group Team. Steve Norton has joined Omega Plastics Group as Head of Facilities, CI and HSE, Russell Stamp has joined our Omega Plastics Engineering Team as Project Engineer and finally, Andrew Davey will lead our Quality Team at Omega Plastics as Quality Manager.

Meet Steve

With extensive experience in the Injection Moulding Industry (almost 35 years to be exact), Steve joins Omega Plastics Group in a brand-new role as Head of Facilities, CI and HSE to support Julian Jamieson, Group Operations Director. Steve will be working across and be responsible for both our facilities, Omega Plastics at Team Valley, Gateshead, and Signal Plastics based in Washington. In this new role, Steve will focus on optimising our space, developing, and leading continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, ensuring we comply with our health and safety obligations, and developing our environmental sustainability.  With 30 years’ experience in several areas of the Automotive sector, including HVAC, interior injection moulding, and exhaust sites, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise to his new role.

Meet Russell

We are pleased to welcome Russell to our Engineering Team at Omega Plastics as our new Project Engineer. Russell will support Keith Moody, our Head of Sourced Tooling, on the project management of our new programs. Russell will be working alongside David Greasley, our Senior Programme Manager, on the delivery of timing plans and communicating with customers and with our teams internally. Russell joins the Omega Plastics team with vast experience working in the Automotive industry for a Tier One Automotive Supplier as a Project Coordinator for over 5 years.

Meet Andrew

In his new role as Quality Manager, Andrew will be leading our Quality Team at Omega Plastics to ensure we consistently manufacture and deliver on time, right first time. Andrew will work closely with our customers, suppliers, and the Moulding Production and Engineering Teams as a whole. On Group quality matters, including maintenance and operation of our QMS, internal and external audit programs, and accreditations, Andrew will be working closely with Signal Plastics’ Quality Manager, David Ladner, to achieve these goals. Andrew joins Omega Plastics as a certified Internal Quality Systems Auditor with experience working in a range of manufacturing sectors, including Automotive and Aerospace and Defence.
