As an affiliate of Ashington Rugby Club, the cricket club offer opportunities for local children from the age of 5 to experience cricket.
We were delighted to award them a grant from our Community Fund which will go towards purchasing new training equipment and subsidising kit costs for families ensuring development opportunities for the young players.
Chris Major, a quality assurance engineer with OPG, who made the application on behalf of the club, shared how much this support means to the team:
“This money will make a big impact on the training we can give the kids and how we can develop them as players. It means we can offer better sessions, replace tired and worn equipment, and make sure no one misses out just because of cost.”
It’s stories like this that inspire our commitment to giving back. We launched the Community Fund to help small organisations with big hearts—those that dedicate themselves to enriching local lives and providing opportunity where it matters most.
We’re excited to watch the kids in Ashington continue to grow and thrive, and we’ll be cheering them on from the side lines.
If your organisation is creating positive change in your community, we want to hear from you. Applications for the next round of the Community Fund are open now! For an application pack and more information contact Danny.Hooper@omega-plastics.co.uk
